On our Global Clinics, OneSight volunteers hand-deliver both recycled and new eyewear to recipients. Each year, OneSight needs to collect two million pairs of gently used eyewear to support these Clinics.

Trained volunteers prepare each donated pair via our proprietary, multi-step, eyewear recycle process. All eyewear is processed at one of 15 Eyewear Resource Centers worldwide and shipped to our Global Clinics.

We have four Eyewear Recycle Centers in Italy:

Agordo (Belluno) Luxottica Production Plant
Activities at this plant include: 

  • Sorting received used glasses
  • Ultrasound washing 
  • Polishing and adjusting plastic frames
  • Replacing spare parts for metal frames
  • Adjusting eyeglasses 
  • Reading lens power and data entry   
  • Centralized inventory for Global Clinics

Pederobba (Treviso) Luxottica Production Plant       
Activities are specialized in recycling plastic frames including:

  • Ultrasound washing
  • Polishing and adjusting plastic frames

Milan Luxottica Headquarters:
Activities at this center include:

  • Reading lens power and data entry 

Sedico (Belluno) Luxottica Logistic Plant:
Activities at this center include:

  • Reading lens power and data entry
  • Sorting received used glasses
