In addition to collecting and recycling eyewear, OneSight volunteers also manufacture eyewear to support Global Clinics. Thanks to generous donations of frames and lenses by eyewear and lens manufacturers, OneSight volunteers, opticians and Optometrists' schools across Europe are able to manufacture difficult prescriptions to help a wider variety of those in need.

Optometry schools
In Optometrists' schools across Germany, Hungary and Italy, students get hands-on experience throughout the year manufacturing eyewear for OneSight. We send these schools frames, lenses and a list of prescription needs. At the end of the school year, glasses are shipped to one of our OneSight Recycle Centers where they are logged into the inventory management system and shipped to support our Global Clinics

If your school is interested in helping support OneSight while offering students an opportunity for hands-on experience, please contact us today.

Opticians
There are many ways Opticians across Europe can help including:

  • Manufacturing new eyewear with in-store outdated lenses and frames.
  • Donating outdated preassembled readers
  • Collecting eyewear from your patients

A New Life for Used Eyewear!

Each year, we collect gently used prescription eyewear and non-prescription sunglasses to recycle and hand-deliver on our Global Clinics in developing countries.

That pair of glasses that you no longer wear can help OneSight recipients see clearly and fulfill their dreams.
