OneSight Launches New Vision Van

OneSight is proud to announce the launch of the newest Vision Van, affectionately named EyeLeen. This 40-foot state-of-the-art van will travel across North America to provide complete eye exams and eyewear to children in need. EyeLeen is fourth in the OneSight fleet of vans that includes SeeMore, Iris and EyeVan.

A complete optical shop on wheels, EyeLeen is equipped with everything needed for an eye exam and a new pair of eyewear. The van is staffed by local doctors and trained volunteers who donate their time and services. Children who visit these vans receive new prescription eyewear on site.

"This vehicle is designed with the goal of making our Clinics more efficient,” said OneSight Clinic Manager Melissa Standridge, responsible for managing the build of this van. "It was designed with two doors allowing an entrance and an exit for patients, which will ultimately lead to better Clinic flow. EyeLeen is also equipped with retractable sides, providing our doctors more room and privacy to conduct eye exams and lab technicians more space to make glasses.”
 
The van was funded by generous donations from EyeMed, Fidelity Security Life Insurance and Combined Insurance.
