Our trained volunteers help those in need in local communities across North America and Asia Pacific through in-store retail and outreach programs.

In-Store Programs

Throughout the year, OneSight’s volunteer doctors and employees provide free eye care and new eyewear in Luxottica’s retail stores to those in need. All patients are pre-selected by local charities based on visual and financial need.

On OneDay, the second Tuesday of December, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Sears Optical and Target Optical open their doors early to provide free optical exams and new eyewear to thousands in need. Since this single day of giving first began in 1993, more than 250,000 people have been helped on OneDay. In 2009, OneDay expanded across Luxottica as a single day of global giving, where employees across 37 countries help those in need with vision screenings and exams, eyewear adjustments and more.

Outreach

OneSight Outreach engages employees from Luxottica North America to volunteer by taking their skills to those in need in the community who are unable to come in to our stores. Through this program, employees provide free vision screenings at schools and health fairs and eyewear adjustments/repairs at nursing homes and shelters.
