The weekend is here!!

Our weekend has been filled with sight seeing activities and shopping. On Saturday we had the opportunity of visiting the Maharaja of Rajisthan's palace. It is a beautiful homestead set on a hill and can be seen for miles. We were able to tour part of the palace that is now converted into a museum. The other section is an elite hotel that has been visited by many of the rich and famous such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Richard Gere. We then went shopping in the clock tower area of Jodhpur. Exciting array of spices, scarves, textiles and souveniers were available. The center was busling with people, rickshaws, water buffalo and we even saw an elephant being walked across the bridge downtown as we walked in the opposite direction. Talk about a photo opportunity.
On Sunday we took an audio tour of the Mehrangarh Fort. So full of history, you could almost see the prince, princess, servants and other residents moving about the palace. It was as being zapped back into time and picturing the battles fought on the hill, it was an enlightening experience. Some of us even got to take our picture on a camel's back. That's a big animal! We had lunch, did some shopping and headed back to our hotel in preparation of our silent auction. Our Silent Auction was a real success. We raised over $4,000. With a diverse team as the one we have, there were items from all parts of the world. The bidding wars were off and OneSight was the winner.
