We’ve Arrived! Now, to the 10,000!

Well, despite some delayed flights, overnight stays, and sprints through the terminal, our North American Team has all arrived!  Soon we will be joined by our European team members and we will be complete!  Already at the team dinner we got to meet eachother and start bonding. 

Here's what we're up to for the clinic over the next 2 weeks.  Tomorrow we all get to see the clinic sight and go through a day of training and any last minute set-up items.  Already the people of Hermosillo have been very accomodating to us and our in country partners have been awesome and super helpful!  I got a chance to get a sneak peak of the sight today and there were local people everywhere getting things set up!  Wednesday the clinic starts and continues through Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Then we have Sunday and Monday off to recoup and refresh our batteries, and then back at it Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of next week.  After that, we all start our journies home!  The time will just fly!  In just 8 clinic days, we will be helping over 10,000 people!  Wow!

We haven't even started our clinic and already have a great story!  The leadership team came in a few days early to do some prep and set-up for the rest of us so we had a smooth transistion.  While they were sitting and planing, two gentleman named Miguel and Jorge from Tecate, Mexico approached and asked them if they were their instructors.  It turns out that these men were part of a group of Mexican teachers who teach English in the schools all over Mexico and they are staying at our hotel for a conference!  Also, Jorge was seen at a free clinic when he was a child and ended up having surgery for strabismus.  He heard from our leadership team about what we were doing in Hermosillo and they wanted to help.  Turns out they are gonna come out a couple days to the clinic as translators!  How awesome is that?!?

    Sara, lo so, in Messico ci sono appena stata (quasi) però, uff, che colpa ne ho se ho così tanta voglia di tornarci?!?
