While OneSight is always in need of monetary donations to fund programs, in-kind gifts are vital to increase our scope of giving around the world. At the end of 2010, OneSight welcomed an in-kind donation from new supporter, Classic Optical. One of the largest independent optical labs in the country, Classic Optical was thrilled to donate nearly 60,000 bifocal lenses for use on Global Eye Care Clinics held in 2011!

“OneSight and our partners manufacture over 80,000 new pairs of eyewear each year to support patients on Global Clinics,” said Michelle Carter, OneSight Inventory Planner. “The bifocal lenses donated by Classic Optical will definitely have an impact in 2011 allowing us to reach even more people in need.“

“Classic Optical has a long-standing commitment to positively impact and make a difference in the communities we serve and the world we live in,” said Dawn Friedkin, Chief Operating Officer, Classic Optical. “We know there is great need around the world and we are so happy we were able to provide high-quality lenses to OneSight. We believe in this program and know these lenses will be used to help people who may otherwise not be able to afford it."
