Ask Steve Collucci, Underwriting Manager at Combined Insurance about his company’s partnership with OneSight and he will tell you, “It’s not just about making funds available though a charitable donation, we enjoy getting involved personally. We put boots on the ground.”

Indeed, Combined Insurance has continued to be a OneSight supporter and has become one of its most generous and active donors, participating in OneSight Clinics in such far-flung locales as Laos, India and most recently, South Africa. Combined Insurance has also had a volunteer presence closer to home in Fishkill, New York.

Combined Insurance is an A-rated company that provides various insurance products across the United States. They have been a long-standing business partner with EyeMed Vision Care, LLC, a Luxottica’s vision care division. Through that relationship, Combined Insurance became involved with OneSight. “As our relationship with EyeMed grew, they educated us about OneSight and its goals,” says Mr. Collucci, “We started taking a look at the different ways we could support the charity. We sponsored events in 2006 and since then, have developed a very strong partnership with the OneSight team.”

In addition to supporting OneSight Clinics, Combined Insurance is a major sponsor of EyeRock New York for the third year in a row. EyeRock brings together nearly 40 musicians from across the optical industry to perform in New York City for the benefit of OneSight. It is held each spring in conjunction with Vision Expo East and will take place this year at the Hard Rock Café on March 19th.

In 2009, Combined Insurance worked with OneSight to create “Party on the Piazza” a social event held during Par for Sight, the charity’s annual golf tournament. In 2011 they will once again be the underwriter of this event for the third consecutive year. Combined Insurance has also generously supported the construction of OneSight’s newest vision van, Eyeleen. Eyeleen is a one-stop optical shop on wheels which provides students in need no cost access to a comprehensive eye exam, frame selection and onsite manufacturing of eyewear. On a typical day, vision van volunteers can deliver vision care and eyewear to about 60 students on each van.
