Little Ones Receive Gift of Sight at Camp Pendleton Clinic

The focus of the Camp Pendleton Clinic (May 23-28) was different than most - to provide eyewear to military dependent children who already have a prescription.

Sophia, a 15-month-old girl was one recipient. With such a small face, she needed a pair with cable cords behind the ears to hold them in place. Another family was so grateful for the new glasses they received that the mother visited OneSight.org and left the following comment on the Camp Pendleton Clinic Blog:

"I just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU!!! My family and I came in today to get new glasses for our 7-year-old son Elijah and our 5-year-old daughter Alivia. Both of them had glasses that were badly bent and scratched; and with two kids in glasses the cost to replace them can easily exceed a couple hundred dollars. Our experience there was PHENOMENAL!!! All the help, care, and attention shown to our kids did not go unnoticed or unappreciated! Alivia felt like a true diva trying on all those different frames until she found just the right ones in a lovely shade of purple!! She can’t wait to start kindergarten in them! Thank you all so much!!! You are all truly a blessing!"
