OneSight Volunteers Help Campers at Fishkill, NY Clinic

At the first 2010 Fishkill, NY Clinic (July 4-17), the OneSight Team traveled to different camps run by The Fresh Air Fund, an organization that gives inner-city children the opportunity to experience the joy of a summer vacation.

Marcus, a 9-year-old recipient from New York City, is seeing clearly for the first time. After receiving his exam, Marcus found out he was in need of a strong prescription, one that was too complicated for Vision Van Seemore to produce. Two volunteers made a different prescription to help him temporarily. Marcus lit up the van with his smile when he first put the glasses on.

Thanks to all the volunteers for providing the kids with an extra gift to go along with their summer vacation: the gift of sight.
