OneSight Volunteers Help Parents, Children and Turtles

During the South Dakota OneSight Clinic held June 13-25, many parents brought their children along, but thought their kids were too young to be examined. OneSight volunteers encouraged parents to have their toddlers’ eyes examined and were able to help many children as a result.

One was two-year-old Jiselle, who went through the Clinic with her mom. Both were found to have a significant need for glasses. When Jiselle received her new pair, it brought a huge smile to her face.

Another recipient, Kevin, was able to save a turtle because of his new ability to see. On his way home, Kevin saw a turtle on the road. He asked his wife to stop the car, so he could move the turtle out of harms way.

Congratulations and thanks to the South Dakota volunteers, who helped parents and children see clearly.
